Project/Time Management Programs
- Better Canvas and Tasks for Canvas -These are two Google extensions that will modify your canvas page. You can do fun things like change the colors or organization style. You can also change settings to make the page easier to read or more transparently organized. Tasks for Canvas will put all of your upcoming assignments on a taskbar on the side of your canvas page. This lets you know what's coming up, and what is overdue and gives accomplishment rings that show you what percentage you have completed that week. It also shows up in each class page and will show you just the class's progress for the week. (plus it gives you confetti when you complete your class work). For me I have changed the font to make it easier to read, added links at the top for easier access to online books, and changed to font size to take the strain off my eyes.
- Motion - It's like having a personal secretary without having to pay them medical benefits. It is great for scaffolding assignments.
- Trello - It is a website for project management; however the way I have used it in the past is by making a column for each week and then inputting cards for the assignments due that week. You can add due dates and even smaller sections to break up large assignments that need more time.
Speech-to-Text
- Otter - Wonderful tool which transcribes notes from meetings (i.e. zoom) and classroom presentations. If you struggle to keep up with lectures in the classroom or discussions in zoom, this is a great tool.
