How to Use the Immersive Reader

Opening the Immersive Reader

1. Navigate to a Course Home Page, Syllabus, Assignment, or Page.
2. Select the Immersive Reader button at the top of the page.

Features of the Immersive Reader

After opening the Immersive Reader, you can use various tools to enhance readability:

• Text Customization - Adjust front size, spacing, and background color.
• Grammar Assistance - Highlight syllables and parts of speech.
• Reading Tools - Enable line focus, picture dictionary, and translation options.
• Read Aloud - Listen to text by selecting the Play button.
• Voice Settings - Modify the reading speed and voice type.
• Full Screen Mode - Expand the reading area.

Limitations

• Embedded content from external tools in the Rich Content Editor is not compatible with the Immersive Reader.
• The Immersive Reader does not appear on assignments created using external tools.
