Places to look for funding if you are relating to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America

Please note:

• Some denominational resources require attainment of specific milestones in terms of candidacy.

Important: There are online sites that scam students by charging fees to search for scholarships and grants. In some instances, sites even charge students for access to the FAFSA application. Don't be fooled! You should never have to pay for filing these applications!

The ELCA does not appear to have a central index of grants or scholarships. If you have found one, let Tom Barlow know.

Women of the ELCA

Scholarships for those seeking ordination seem to be limited to students attending ELCA seminaries. However, there may be options for women not seeking ordination, available at this website.
