- On your Zoom desktop application, click on the settings icon (cog wheel), located at the top right.
- Once in Settings, navigate to Audio using the menu on the left side of the window. Here you are able to select the speaker and microphone output for your meetings/calls.
- Check the box next to Use separate audio device to play ringtone simultaneously
- Under Speaker, select the output device you want the ringer sound to come out of (e.g. laptop speakers).
- Generally, you would want to avoid setting the ringtone coming out of your headset as you will likely not be able to hear the ring unless you have your headset on.
Once the audio changes have been made, click on Phone, on the left side menu. Check these settings to confirm the default for calls is set to Zoom.us. Optional: you can check the box next to Hide incoming calls while in a meeting, to prevent calls from coming in while you are in a Zoom meeting.
