This is a set of instructions on how to use breakout rooms in Zoom Pro
-Start your zoom meeting as normal
-Once your meeting is started, you can select breakout rooms when you are ready to use them. You will select the "Breakout Rooms" button on the menu for the zoom call located at the bottom of the screen. You may need to move your cursor to the bottom if you are in full screen.
-After selecting breakout rooms, the following dialog box will come up.
-Select the number of rooms you would like to break out into up to 50 breakout rooms.
-Once you have selected the desired number of rooms, you can choose to automatically split your participants into groups or manually add participants to groups
-When using Automatically add, Zoom will then evenly move participants based on the number of people in the zoom call.
-When using manually add - select the participants from the main list (under the assign tab) and move them into the groups.
-If more participants arrive after the initial setup of the breakout groups, you can add them by clicking on the number showing participants in the room and add them manually.
-No participants will be moved to breakout groups until you select "Open All Rooms" at the bottom of the dialog box. This allows you to setup your groups early and deploy them when ready.
-Once ready to start the breakouts, you will use the "Open All Rooms" button on the bottom of the dialog box
-Participants will then get a dialog box on their computers inviting them to join their specific breakout rooms.
-Once breakout rooms are active, it will show you which participants have joined their breakout rooms by a green dot next to their names.
-Participants who have not joined will show by being greyed out with the words (not joined) next to their names.
-In the breakout rooms, you can communicate with all rooms using the "broadcast a message to all" located on the left bottom corner of the dialog box.
-As the host, you can also join breakout rooms at any time using the join button for each group. Once you select the button you will be moved into that specific group.
-To leave a breakout group to enter another, select "Leave Breakout Group" at the bottom right of the zoom window. This will then take you back to the main zoom session.
-When you are ready to end breakout sessions, you will select breakout rooms than press the "Close All Rooms" button at the bottom of the dialog box. This will give all users a countdown that they are returning to the main room.
-If you want to change room groups at this time, you can do so by selecting "move to" or "Exchange". These options are available when you highlight a participants name. "Move to" allows you to move anyone to another group. "Exchange" moves the individual you selected and allows you to select someone to move in their place.
-There are some other options that are available if wanted located under the options tab on the bottom of the dialog box. Countdown and return to main session at anytime are automatically checked by default.
-You can change the countdown time if wanted to be 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 seconds
-You can allow breakout rooms to end after a time period of your choice as well.
