For budget managers and purchasers, it can be useful to lookup budget summaries and detailed transactions. Here are the steps to lookup budget and GL information:
- Login to Canvas and go to the Iliff Employees course.
- Click on the General Ledger Inquiry link on the main page of that course
- Click Lookup GL Account Information link
- Select a year from the Date Range for Transactions area
- Select one or more GLs from your list of GLs to display.
- If you have access to a large number of GLs, you will need to specify a GL range or use the Account Component tab and enter your department code to show all GLs in a department.
- Department code is the second to last 4 digits in the GL. For example, in the GL 01-1-1-6415-6010, the department code is 6415.
- Click Go.
- To see the transaction details for any GL, click on the linked amount in the Posted Balance column.
- On any screen, you can export the displayed data to Excel by clicking the Export to Excel link in the bottom left corner of the screen.
