Secure Print (Mobility Print)

Secure Print allows users to send a print job to a print queue which then can be release from any printer within Iliff.

How to Install Secure Print on Mac (Bonjour)

To install secure print on a Mac:

• Navigate to System Preferences and click on Printers & Scanners.
• Click on the "+" to add a printer. (secure_print will be listed as one of the available printers to install through Bonjour)
• Select secure_print
• Click the drop-down next to Use:
• Click on Select Software...
• Type in the filter box 355, select Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci (KPDL), and click OK
  • If you do not see the printer driver (Kyocera Taskalfa 3554ci (KPDL), please follow the instruction to Install Printer Driver on Mac
• Click on Add to add the printer.
• When prompted to enter print feeder settings, select the following:
  • Paper feeders: Cassettes 3,4
  • leave job separator, mailbox, punch unit, and folding unit settings as is.
  • Document finisher: Inner finisher
  • Optional disk: Hard disk
• Click Ok to confirm settings.

How to Install Secure Print on Windows

To install secure print on a Windows machine:

• On the Windows search box (located on the bottom left of the screen), start typing printer, and select Printers & scanners.
• Click on Add a printer or scanner and wait for list of printers to populate.
• At the bottom of that list, click on The printer that I want isn't listed, which will bring up the Find a printer by other options window.
• Choose Select a shared printer by name. Within the box, start typing \\utilityapps.iliff.edu\ and a list of printers will show up.
• Select \\utilityapps.iliff.edu\Secure_Print, then click Next. This will install and setup Secure Print as a printer option when printing.

How to Install Secure Print via Mobility Print on Mac/Windows

To install secure print:

1. Navigate to the PaperCut Mobility Print installation link on your web browser.
2. If prompted, Do you want to allow this page to open "mobility-print-client"?, click Allow.
3. Follow the steps on the webpage, under step 1, click on Download and run Mobility Print button to download and install the Mobility print client. Click through the installation prompts.
4. Once the installation is finished, under step 2, click on Connect and get my printers to add the Secure Print printer driver.
5. You can verify if the printer was added successfully by navigating to "Printers & Scanners" on your Mac/Windows computer, and see if the Secure_Print[UtilityApps](Mobility) is listed there.

How to Print Using Secure Print

When printing, on the print preview screen ensure you have Secure_Print[UtilityApps](Mobility) selected. After clicking print, you'll then be prompted in a separate PaperCut/Mobility Print window to enter your Iliff Google credentials (this will only need to be done once during the initial setup). Then proceed with the following to release your print job:

1. Go to any printer on Iliff (e.g. Skaggs, BEC, etc.), either enter your Iliff employee ID number or scan your ID (located to the left of the touch pad, see image below).
2. Select Print Release. You should now see a list of your print queues sent to secure print.
3. Select the ones you want to print and then click Print.
4. Once you are done printing, click Log Out.

Secure Print Troubleshoot

Mac: if your print queue is stuck loading and has the following message Hold for Authentication 

• Click the refresh icon to the right of it, this will prompt you to enter your Iliff Google credentials (ensure the username is your Iliff username and not the computer name (e.g. jdoe, not jdoe21))
